HIVE artspace

HIVE artspace is an art gallery and artist collective based in historic downtown York, Pennsylvania. The collective consists of an art gallery run by volunteers, the resident artists in the studios on the premises, and a wide-ranging community of exhibiting artists, from local to national, and from as far away as Greece and Italy.

The mission of HIVE artspace is to inspire, motivate and support our artists, to work together to bring independent art into a gallery setting, and to actively participate in, cultivate and nurture the growing creative community within York City.

HIVE has new exhibits every month that open on First Friday each month, and they are free and open to the public.

• EVERY FIRST FRIDAY, 5-9pm - The opening of a new monthly themed exhibit at HIVE artspace, plus all of the shops & galleries are open late for the evening!

• DECEMBER 5-21 - HIVE'S HOLIDAY BZZZAAR - our December gift-buying exhibit with unique artwork and gifts, from $2 to $100. Opening reception: December 5, 5-9pm.

• DECEMBER 1-15 - CALL FOR ART: BLACK & WHITE ARTWORKS for our January 2026 exhibit. See EXHIBITS page for details.​​

• DECEMBER 6, 11:30-5:00 - JINGLE BELL CRAWL: Join us for Jingle Ball Crawl in downtown York as we visit all over downtown with samples at each stop. Wear your ugly Christmas sweaters, elf, Santa, Mrs. Clause, Grinch costumes, etc. 17 participating stops and a sample drink and/or food at each stop. All within walking distance. Cost is $25. • DECEMBER 13, 10-5 - A HOLIDAY HAPPENING - Join us in Royal Square for some festive Holiday Cheer & shopping at participating merchants.

• DECEMBER 21, 5-10PM - LATE NIGHT SHOPPING IN ROYAL SQUARE - Multiple merchants will be having special evening hours and Holiday cheer to help you wrap up your last minute shopping.
