HIVE artspace

HIVE artspace is an art gallery and artist collective based in historic downtown York, Pennsylvania. The collective consists of an art gallery run by volunteers, the resident artists in the studios on the premises, and a wide-ranging community of exhibiting artists, from local to national, and from as far away as Greece and Italy.

The mission of HIVE artspace is to inspire, motivate and support our artists, to work together to bring independent art into a gallery setting, and to actively participate in, cultivate and nurture the growing creative community within York City.

HIVE has new exhibits every month that open on First Friday each month, and they are free and open to the public.

• EVERY FIRST FRIDAY, 5-9pm - The opening of a new monthly themed exhibit at HIVE artspace, plus all of the shops & galleries are open late for the evening!   ​​​​​​​

 

• SEPTEMBER 4-26 - ORDINARY OBJECTS - Our September exhibit takes an intimate look at the inanimate items of everyday life. 

• FIRST FRIDAY FUN, SEPT 4, 5-9: Flannel For Two will be joining us again for a live music set of acoustic covers from the 1960s through the 1990s from 5-6:30pm (weather permitting). Wendy will have her studio open and get a first look at Spiraling Arts new studio, both on the 2nd floor.

• SEPTEMBER 13, 9AM-1PM - SECOND SUNDAY ON KING OUTDOOR MARKET - find everything from fresh produce to baked goods to hand-made art & crafts every second Sunday through November in the Bond parking lot, right across from HIVE artspace. Play the PASSPORT GAME for a chance to win a Royal Square gift basket! Info HERE.

• SEPTEMBER 26, 11AM-5PM - ART & CHOCOLATE STROLL - Sept 26, 11-5 - Do not miss the Art & Chocolate Stroll - one of Downtown York's most fun - and delicious! - art events! This tour takes you through York's many vibrant art galleries with a chocolately treat at each stop. Details HERE!​​​​
