HIVE artspace

HIVE artspace is an art gallery and artist collective based in historic downtown York, Pennsylvania. The collective consists of an art gallery run by volunteers, the resident artists in the studios on the premises, and a wide-ranging community of exhibiting artists, from local to national, and from as far away as Greece and Italy.

The mission of HIVE artspace is to inspire, motivate and support our artists, to work together to bring independent art into a gallery setting, and to actively participate in, cultivate and nurture the growing creative community within York City.

HIVE has new exhibits every month that open on First Friday each month, and they are free and open to the public.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

• APRIL 27: FANG AROUND THE CAULDRON - An annual Springtime celebration of music, arts, and alternative culture; a festival for all witches, fae, cryptids, and YOU, right in the heART of Downtown York's Royal Square Arts District. Visit fangaroundevent.com for more info.

• MAY 3, 5-9pm - GIVE LOCAL YORK VEG PARTY WITH AASCPA. Join Animal Advocates of South Central PA and Peace Will Follow during York’s big day of giving for veg food, cool, art, and maybe even some animal ambassadors! It's FREE to come hang out! 

• EVERY SUNDAY, 1-4pm: SIDEWALK SUNDAYS - Artists set up in front of various shops and galleries along the 00-100 blocks of E. King St for a unique "behind the scenes" experience as artists and makers demonstrate their creative process right before your eyes!

• EVERY FIRST FRIDAY, 5-9pm - The opening of a new monthly themed exhibit at HIVE artspace, plus all of the shops & galleries are open late for the evening!
