HIVE artspace

HIVE artspace is an art gallery and artist collective based in historic downtown York, Pennsylvania. The collective consists of an art gallery run by volunteers, the resident artists in the studios on the premises, and a wide-ranging community of exhibiting artists, from local to national, and from as far away as Greece and Italy.

The mission of HIVE artspace is to inspire, motivate and support our artists, to work together to bring independent art into a gallery setting, and to actively participate in, cultivate and nurture the growing creative community within York City.

HIVE has new exhibits every month that open on First Friday each month, and they are free and open to the public.

• EVERY FIRST FRIDAY, 5-9pm - The opening of a new monthly themed exhibit at HIVE artspace, plus all of the shops & galleries are open late for the evening!   

• FIREFLY NIGHT MARKET, First Fridays, 5-9pm - In October, King Street in front of the gallery will be closed to traffic & filled with unique independent vendors, music, and more!

• OCTOBER 3-31 - THE ANNUAL SPOOKY ART SHOW returns for our October exhibit! This chillingly fun celebration of Halloween showcases a thrilling variety of visual tricks and treats—from the creepy and macabre to the whimsically spooky. Featuring artwork & giftable creations by over 40 artists, plus a special guest appearance by Dark Angel!

• OCTOBER 1-15 - CALL FOR ART: MINI ART for our November exhibit. See EXHIBITS page for details.

• OCTOBER 18, 12-5 - COSTUMES & COCKTAILS CRAWL: 14 Participating Stops and a sample at each stop. Cost is $25 per person and includes a souvenir cup and at sample at each location. Info HERE.

• OCTOBER 31, 5-9 - ADULT TRICK OR TREAT in Royal Square: Leave the kids at home & join us for some grown-up fun! Details to come!
